Charging station:

Are you coming with an electric car?

Gasthof en Bar Lumme is one of the few hotels with two DC fast-charging stations for three cars and four AC charging stations (11 kW) for hotel guests.

We use a hybrid battery storage system, so part of the electricity is generated by our solar panels!

Solar panels:

Gasthof Lumme has 35 solar panels as a fence with a total output of over 14,000 W (14 kW).

We also store energy in our hybrid energy storage system so we can use the generated energy later.

Heat pump:

Gasthof Lumme has one of the most economical heating sources available for a hotel over 160 years old!

Especially for high temperatures in cold weather, we have a heat pump with green refrigerant R290, which heats the hotel almost year-round.

Enjoy a nice shower or bath? Gasthof & Bar Lumme has three heat pump boilers for hot water.

The radiators in almost all rooms are equipped with smart thermostats.

Super economical!

Pellet stove (backup):

If our heat pump isn't working for heating, we can automatically switch on a pellet stove to support the heat pump. The wood pellets are produced locally in Winterberg from wood scraps/sawmill waste.

Lighting in the building:

All lighting has been replaced with energy-saving light bulbs and LEDs.

Laundromat:

To further save energy, we use heat pump dryers and washing machines.

And:

Finally, the cooling systems have been converted to energy-efficient systems.
